RECCO is the premier industrial refrigeration contractor in New England and regarded as the most knowledgeable industrial refrigeration engineering firm in the Northeast.  The specialized training RECCO provides its technicians is unequalled and contributes to making us the ultimate choice for extraordinary solutions.

Tradition and History

Refrigeration Engineering and Contracting Company, Inc. (RECCO) was founded in 1969 by Fred Antoon and William Hoover.  The company provided cooling solutions to the Food and Beverage industries, specializing in ammonia refrigeration in the Boston area.

Peter Comeau joined RECCO in 1977 as a Sales Engineer, growing into the role of Sales Manager and eventually, Vice President of Sales.  During the next 18 years, RECCO steadily grew to become the New England’s region’s leading industrial refrigeration contractor.  Successes in the design and construction of refrigeration systems for food processing plants, cold storage distribution facilities and ice production plants earned RECCO the reputation for excellence in refrigeration contracting and customer service.  RECCO’s contracting area extended beyond New England, with projects in the Canadian Maritimes, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Central America and throughout the USA.

The New ERA

In 1995, Peter and Lori Comeau purchased RECCO from the original owners.  From that point on, RECCO grew – in size, capabilities, and reputation.  It acquired companies, hired technicians, enhanced its knowledge, and increased its service offerings.

From the beginning, RECCO has relied on its people.  RECCO hires the most experienced personnel and invests in training well beyond others in the field.  Our well-regarded project managers, supervisors, installation crews, and service technicians offer solutions and knowledge unavailable anywhere else in the Northeast.  To find out more, contact us
