An ammonia release can be a health hazard because it is corrosive to the skin, eyes and lungs in varying degrees dependent on concentration and exposure. In the event of a release, the RECCO response team is trained to arrive on site quickly with proper protective equipment to assist authorities and work closely with emergency personnel. RECCO technicians have received OSHA Ammonia Emergency Response Certification and attend a refresher course annually. Our technicians have extensive experience building ammonia systems giving them the knowledge to restore systems to proper control and prevent any secondary leaks.
