PSM / RMP & ARM Programs

All ammonia refrigeration systems containing 10,000 pounds or more of anhydrous ammonia are required to comply with OSHA's Process Safety Management (PSM) of Highly Hazardous Chemicals requirement and the EPA's Risk Management Program (RPM) for Chemical Accidental Release Prevention. These standards assure safe and healthful workplaces, protecting workers and the public from accidental release of highly hazardous chemicals. Proper coordination and integration of the requirements of both OSHA and EPA can be complex. RECCO has the team that can help you implement a complete and effective PSM/RMP program, ensuring compliance with OSHA and the EPA.

For facilities not subject to the PSM/RMP requirements, RECCO will assist with the implementation of a voluntary Ammonia Risk Management Program (ARM) in accordance with the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) guidelines.
