The RECCO team has grown considerably since its origins in 1969. Many of our personnel have been with RECCO for over 20 years. Peter R. Comeau, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Owner
Peter Comeau’s experience spans more than 40 years in the commercial refrigeration and industrial refrigeration industry. Mr. Comeau’s expertise includes the design and installation of systems and equipment needs, estimating, project management, sales, management and consulting services. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute; he holds licenses for both Refrigeration Contractor and Master Pipefitter; and, he is an accredited LEED Professional. Mr. Comeau is also a graduate of the MCAA Advanced Leadership Institute from Babson College.
Mr. Comeau has served as a Director for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA), past president of the New England Mechanical Contractors Association (NEMCA), serves as a Trustee for the UA Local 537 Educational Trust, serves as a member of the UA Local 537 Joint Apprenticeship Committee and has served on the Board of Directors of the New England Mechanical Service Contractors Association (NEMSCA), and as a Director and past President of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors of Boston (ARC-Boston). Peter Comeau is an active member of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR); the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); the American Association of Facility Engineers (AFE); the North East Ice Skating Managers Association (NEISMA); the US Green Building Council (USGBC); the Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA); and, the National Certified Pipe Welding Bureau (NCPWB).
Gino K. Whooley, President & Co-Owner
Gino Whooley began his experience in the commercial and industrial refrigeration industry over 30 years ago. Professionally trained through his high school and Local 537 Apprenticeship degree, Mr. Whooley joined the RECCO team more than 20 years ago. He holds professional licenses in numerous states including Refrigeration Technician, Refrigeration Journeyman, HAZMAT Responder and numerous professional designations. Mr. Whooley has received advanced training from Frick/Johnson Controls, GEA/FES, Hanse/Roper Industries, Rockwell Automation Controls, Vilter/Emerson, and has received professional training in the use of Thermal Imaging, Vibration Analysis and Laser Alignment technology.
Mr. Whooley has served as liaison between RECCO and UA Local 537. He is a Director of the New England Mechanical Service Contractors Association (NEMSCA); and is a member of the New England Contractors Association (NEMCA); the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); the American Association of Facility Engineers (AFE); the North East Ice Skating Managers Association (NEISMA); and, the Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA).
